Commerce Ministers of India & Bangladesh Bilateral meeting A bilateral meeting was held in Dhaka between Commerce Minister of Bangladesh, Tofail Ahmed, MP and Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation Minister of India, Suresh Prabhu.
Both Ministers noted the significant progress made in the bilateral relationship under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Sundeep Misra to write a book on sprinter Dutee Chand, Story So Far The incredible story of Dutee Chand, who rose from abject poverty to become one of India’s biggest sprinting stars, will be brought alive in the form of a book titled as, “Story so far”.
The announcement was made by publisher Westland, which was acquired by Amazon in 2017.
The book is written by journalist, author and filmmaker Sundeep Misra, who has previously authored a biography of hockey legend Dhanraj Pillay.

Final book of Vineet Bajpai’s Harappa trilogy launched Kashi: Secret of the Black Temple, the final book of Vineet Bajpai’s Harappa trilogy, was launched in New Delhi.
The three books in the series combine mythology, history, fantasy, crime and the modern-day thriller element.
The first two books are Harappa: Curse of the Blood River and Pralay: The Great Deluge.
The three books have been brought out by Bajpai’s publishing platform TreeShade Books.

Govt constitutes Lokpal search committee The Centre constituted an eight-member search committee, to be headed by former Supreme Court judge Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai, to recommend the chairperson and members of the anti-corruption ombudsman Lokpal.
The search committee is a major step towards setting up of the Lokpal.
Supreme court constitutes committee to look into jail reforms The Supreme Court constituted a three-member committee headed by its former judge Justice Amitava Roy to look into the aspect of jail reforms across the country and suggest measures to deal with them.
A bench headed by Justice M B Lokur said the panel will look into the issues including overcrowding in prisons.
