Explanation
The instrument of instructions contained in the Government of India Act, 1935 has been incorporated in the Constitution of India in the year 1950 as Directive principles of state policy. The DPSP are guidelines to the Central and State Government of India.
The directive principles are similar instruments of instructions which were released to the Governor in general and Governors of the settlements and to those of India by the British Government under the 1935 Act under the Draft Constitution. It was advised to publish such instructions to the president and governors. The textbook of these instruments of the instructions is found in Schedule-4 of the Constitution of India.
