The average of four consecutive even numbers P, Q, R and S respectively (in increasing order) is 51. What is the product of P and R?

    let four consecutive even numbers be x-2, x, x+2, x+4.

    According to the question,

    = x-2+x+x+2+x+4=4×51

    = 4x+4=204

    = x= 50

    So, P=48, Q=50, R=52, S=54

    ∴ The product of P and R

    = P×R

    = 48×52= 2496

    Hence, Option E is correct.
