The average weight of a group of 53 girls was calculated as 58 kg. It was later discovered that the weight of one of the girls was read as 65 kg, where as her actual weight was 45 kg. What is the actual average weight of the group of 53 girls? (rounded off to two digits after decimal)

    According  to the question

    The value of new quantity added - value of removed item = ± Nx

    ⇒ 45-65= ±53×x

    ⇒ x=2053

    So, actual average = 58-2053

         = 58-0.37

         = 57.63

    Hence, Option E is correct.
