Striga and Orobanche send their haustoria into radial vascular bundles of the hostplant. Striga is a partial root parasite (haustoria ) found on the roots of grass, Sorhum, Saccharum and zea etc. Haustoria of Partial root parasites enter only into xylem of radial vascular bundles. Orobanche is total root parasite. Haustoria enter both Xylem and phloem of radial vascular bundles
